The CCEA Ethnic Minority Affairs Committee is hosting the Grant Writing for Educators Workshop on Saturday, November 6, 2010, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Teachers Health Trust Sedway Conference Room (2950 E. Rochelle Avenue - LV 89121)
The Grant Writing for Educators
workshop will teach practical grant seeking and grant writing
strategies for teachers, administrators, and staff. Dr. Beverly A.
Browning, the presenter, will teach the following topics from her
textbook for educators:
Playing an aggressive game to get your share of grant monies.
Identifying school projects and finding grant funding opportunities.
Learning the lingo to trump the competition.
Is the game worth playing (the grant game)?
Getting into the grant writing game.
Winning foundation grant proposals.
Exploring State Department of Education grant applications.
The Big Kahuna: approaching the U.S. Department of Education.
Grant writing tips A to Z
Each attendee will receive a copy of Grant Writing For Educators: Practical Strategies for Teachers, Administrators, and Staff.
About
the Presenter: Dr. Beverly A. Browning has been consulting in the
areas of grant writing, contract bid responses, and organizational
development for over three decades. Her clients have included chambers
of commerce, faith-based organizations, units of local and county
municipal governments, state and federal government agencies, school
districts and colleges, social and human service agencies, hospitals,
fire departments, service associations, and Fortune 500 corporations.
Dr. Browning has assisted clients and workshop participants throughout
the United States in receiving awards of more than $200 million.
Dr. Browning is the author of over two dozen grants-related publications, including Grant
Writing For Dummies, Grant Writing for Educators, How to Become a
Grant Writing Consultant, Faith-Based Grants: Aligning Your Church to
Receive Abundance, and Perfect Phrases for Writing Grant Proposals.
